Rob and Ann West are passionate about showing off Port Douglas, together with their dedicated, friendly team they deliver old fashioned service that makes a visit to this beautiful part of the world a memorable one.

The first BTS Tour into the Daintree Rainforest took place during a politically tempestuous time.

That first trip in November 1984 was just two weeks after the opening of the road that established  the coastal link to Cooktown, known as the Bloomfield Track. The road from Cape Tribulation to the Bloomfield River was still under construction.

The Bloomfield Track Safari, now known as BTS Tours, hosted visitors on a two-day tour to Cooktown. Those overnight tours, three times a week continued for 18 years, along with 4WD excursions to the Bloomfield Waterfalls.

On June 15 1987 at a ceremony held at Mossman Gorge, Prime Minister Bob Hawke announced the World Heritage Listing of the Wet Tropical Forests. Throughout this momentous time BTS Tours pioneered environmentally friendly tours as well as transport resources for the Cairns & Port Douglas region.
